First of all, I must commend the excellent use of contrast on this particular peice. My main peeve with alot of artwork I see around is that it becomes flushed in too many colours, which loses the atmosphere that the artist generally wants to address.
This fortunately, does not fall into that bracket. The soft blues, pinks and greens set down a cold, lonely atmosphere. The subject looks sadly back towards us as the spectator, yearning for something.
My only word of improvement would be that the details of the roses, while beautiful, feel somewhat overpowering in terms of detail, and makes the character feel a bit lost in the work. I'm not sure if this was the direct intention of the artist to make the work in itself feel 'lost', however, so I'll stand in the middle on that one.
Overall the picture throws across a very sorrowful, quiet tone. The details are elegantly done, and the colour palette choice is appropriate and not overly overpowering.
I really have nothing negative to say about this piece!
I usually judge anime based on three things: >Eyes >Hair >Clothes
The style of eyes is really one of the more preferred styles I have seen. They are bright and shiny (to equalize with the light around her). Very sharp, too.
The hair is most likely the most important distinguishing factor among all anime/manga characters. For this piece, the hair is fluent, unique and consistent with the color scheme. (I really have to learn how to color hair some time in the future)
The clothes are elegant and, again, are relevant to the theme. The colors aren't too bright or detracting and they also compliment the background.
SInce this picture also has an interesting setting/background, I must say that it matches perfectly.
Pink and blue, what a mix! Bravo, my dear. Bravo...
